Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Pockets, the mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Pockets.
Your account
You're responsible for the content you add to your Pockets and for keeping your account secure. You must be old enough to use Apple's services in your country to use Pockets, since sign-in relies on Sign in with Apple.
Your content
You own the photos, names, and Memories you add to Pockets. By sharing a Pocket publicly or via link, you grant the people who can view it (and, if it's public, anyone with the link or on your profile) a license to view it as your sharing settings allow. We don't claim ownership over your content, and we don't use it to train models or for advertising.
Acceptable use
Don't use Pockets to:
- Upload content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Attempt to access another user's private Pockets, Things, or Memories without authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including its security features.
- Use the Service for spam, scraping, or automated bulk collection of other users' content.
We may remove content, suspend sharing, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, following the process described in our moderation practices.
Customization purchases
Surfaces, share frames, labels, templates, and packs are optional customization items purchased through the App Store using your Apple ID. All purchases are billed and processed by Apple according to Apple's own terms; refunds are handled through Apple, not Pockets directly. Basic Pocket creation, Memories, and standard sharing are always free and never gated behind payment.
Collaboration and invitations
If you invite someone to collaborate on a Pocket, you're responsible for the permissions you grant them. Collaboration invites expire after seven days if not accepted and can be revoked at any time. Removing a collaborator or leaving a shared Pocket takes effect immediately.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the app or from this website. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Back up anything irreplaceable — while we take reasonable care with your data, no service can guarantee against loss.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
